Sushmita Mukherjee, who is remembered for playing Kitty in the detective serial Karamchand, is now back, after a two-year sabbatical on the popular show Balika Vadhu. She will be seen playing Subhadra, Daddu's younger sister, who is conservative in nature. Revealing further details about the role she says, 'Subhadra has a certain past. She has now entered this household with a set of values that are different from the ones being followed in the house currently.' Her character will interestingly drive the story forward as her thoughts and views are contrary to the progressive household she enters. 'Since Subhadra's values and ideologies are different, there will be an interesting clash of ideas and personalities,' said the actress.
Talking about her long absence from work, Mukherjee says, 'I started my career with television and after a two-year long sabbatical, I feel rejuvenated. I hadn't done television for a while and Balika Vadhu is one of my favourite shows,' remarked the actress, when asked why she chose this serial to make a comeback.
Baal Veer, Spider-Man join forces
A fantasy television series, Baal Veer will be seen partnering with another super-hero Spiderman just as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits the theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Dev Joshi plays Baal Veer, who protects children from evil powers. In the ongoing track of the show, Spiderman will be seen joining forces with Baal Veer to save children from the evil. Talking about this particular integration, actor Dev Joshi says, 'When my director told me that Spiderman will be making an appearance on our show, initially I thought it was a joke. Later I was overwhelmed. Spiderman has been my favourite always, and I hope I get such an opportunity on the show, more often.'
